About the Poet

 

Tobias Morgan was born in 1555 in the city of York, England. The son of a hardworking tradesman, Tobias early on rejected the trade of his father and chose instead to move to London to pursue the theater and the written word. Earning his keep as a herald for a local lord (mostly relegated to the occasional tournament duty), Tobias saved up enough money to book passage to the Kingdom of Meridies, where he now resides.

In Meridies, Tobias is Candle Pursuivant for the Beacon Principal Herald and also serves as Webminister of the Shire of Vulpine Reach. Tobias is the present Steward of the Company of St. Cecilia (the bardic guild in Meridies). He spends his days entertaining the populace with his poetry and theatrics, teaching courses on literature, drama, and heraldry, and serving his shire and kingdom in the heraldic arts.
