This poem was written as my first entry into the Meridian Guild of Bards and Poets challenge, “Summer in Meridies.”
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
If Meridian, thou art hopefully more frigid!
Rough winds, ’round here, do shake and stir with rain,
And summer’s lease seems all too oft renewéd.
